THE FLOATING FARM




Proposed by a Renowned Belgian architecture firm, Vincent Callebaut Architecture for the Chinese government is the self-sufficient Bio-Hydrogen Airship. The concept behind this design as explained by the firm is to provide alternative sustainable transportation that has zero-emission and powered by bio-hydrogen fuel generated from seaweed breed in the algae farm also within the Airship. The project targets at growing an algae farm, emergency housing, scientific laboratories as well as freight. It will be located in South China Sea, Shanghai. It will have a speed of 175 km/h, with an action field of 5-10,000km. Its height will be 480m, diameter 180m, surface area 350,000m2, agricultural fields will be 8 in number, wind turbines will be 8 and 32 Hydro propellers.
