DESIGN THINKING


Design  thinking  is  applied  throughout  each  stage  of  the Design  Process: brief generation, Research, Brainstorming of Ideas, Concept development, Refinement as well as presentation of ideas. Design thinking is the process of carrying out the design process. It incorporates various types of thinking which include

CREATIVE THINKING
Creative thinking which is powered by inquisitiveness, curiosity, open-mindedness, flexible, explorative, approach to the defined problem.

CRITICAL THINKING
Critical thinking requires questioning, clarifying, analysing, examining and testing information and ideas generated from research

REFLECTIVE THINKING
Reflective thinking involves seeking and considering feedback, reflecting on processes, making links and connections with and the examination of diverse works of others.

STRUCTURAL THINKING
Structural thinking which involves the construction of an idea based upon an existing one after reading and research has been carried out to solidify the approach to the defined problem.

COLLECTIVE THINKING
Collective thinking as the name suggests is one carried out among a group of people who have a common problem to resolve.
